Tonight Mom and I helped Dad take Dolly (my horse) to his work - we found out she is going to have a baby in the spring. While we were there, Dad let me set on her for the first time, just like a real cowboy!
This morning I got to hang out with Oscar and watch TV while Mom and Dad finished getting ready for church - Then we went to church were everyone loves me! I love Sundays!
Grandma and I got all dressed up on Thursday and went to the big awards for State 4-H Conference to meet Mom. I got to see all my 4-H friends, including my girlfriend Shannon (our picture wasn't very good - but next time we will get a great one, and I promise not to spit up down her shirt again!)
Grandma came all the way to Las Cruces just to play with me.
Mom and Dad had to work for that big 4-H thing on campus, so me and Grandma stayed home! I got two baths everyday - we ate turkey, carrots, pears and lots of oatmeal!
Daddy is teaching me to ride on his shoulders. I can see everything! Mom won't put me on her shoulders because I pull her hair - me and Dad don't have that problem!
I love to wear it - it is really comfy and I look great in orange! (Don't tell mom - I still like my Red Raider stuff, too!) But, this one is very special - it is a real Okie outfit from my real Okie family! Thanks, Nonna and Papa!
...I am five months old today!! My goal for five months was to get all five fingers in my mouth (one for each month) - I did it to, only one escaped before Mom snapped the picture!
It is cool to be big! Each month just gets better!
Today I learned to lift up my legs and arms while laying on my tummy! I am flying just like when Mommy holds me up in the air - before long I will be flying across the room!
Here is my impersonation of a little old man flying.
I had my first 4th of July! I was excited all day about seeing the fireworks - I barely slept and fussed until Mom or Dad would hold me and rub my tummy. By firework time I had been so wound up all day - I fell asleep! I did get to have some prune juice in celebration. This is a patriotic photo of me that Ms. Tammy took - she takes the best pictures! You can see more of her stuff by going to the McVaugh Family site and clicking on her photography site. Maybe she would take your picture too!
For my dedication Ms. Darcy gave me a Praise Baby DVD. It plays praise songs and has lots of colors on the screen - flowers, butterflies, animals - even other babies that smile and wave at me! I can't take my eyes off it!
I keep telling you that this 4-H stuff is exhausting - I traveled all the way to Taos with Mom and Dad for another District Contest. I got tired of riding around!
On Tuesday I worked with Mom while Dad helped with the horse contest, but on Wednesday I got to stay with Dad - we even sat out by the pool and watched Little Einsteins! Everyone loves me and wants to hold me because I am the little mascot.
I even met another baby who's last name is Turner (they say she isn't my cousin, but come on - her name is Turner - and I can always use more cousins!)
Grandpa just had to get me a drum set! He and Grandma brought it to me when they came last weekend - I can work it and everything! It sings and lights up and even has a tamborine - but, I like the drum best! Here I am playing in my bathrobe while Mom cleans up the bathroom.
I hate to tell Mama - but I think as I get bigger the drums will get bigger!
