Happy Halloween – A little early!

Mom dressed me up in my Halloween costume and took me to Sears for some photos. Ms. Tammy’s photos are still my favorite, but I wanted to enter the costume contest. I am going to be Charlie Brown this year. Here is a sneak peak of my costume!

Fun at the Park

Mama and Daddy took me to an ice cream social with people from Daddy’s work. It was in the park and there was homemade ice cream. We had lots of fun. If you look very closely you can see some pumpkin pie on my face – thank you, Daddy for a new taste experience.

We took time out to play in the grass and pose in a tree for a lasting memory.

Baby Biscuits

Mom and Dad got me some new Doggy Biscuits – the box says Baby Biscuits, but who are we kidding – they are cookie sized, hard wheat things that you naw on – don’t get me wrong – I love them!! They are easy to hold on to and taste yummy – but I know they are dog biscuits, not that I mind, I eat their food, why not their cookies! The true test - if you drop it on the floor the dogs eat it!

I am a Man!

On Saturday I got to go with my Dad to the Men’s Fellowship Breakfast. I was the hit of the party. I got to wear my man clothes and do manly things –
on Sunday everyone told Mama how wonderful it was that I went to the breakfast and what a good boy I am.

Still a Crazy Sleeper

I love my Wagon bed! I sleep in it every night! I sleep all over it – I like to wobble and roll and snuggle in.
Recently I discovered that you can stick your feet out of the wagon into the night air. It is very relaxing!

The Continuing Saga of the Coffee Table

I have learned a valuable lesson this past week. If you crawl long ways under the coffee table it is ok that your knees fall through and you can make it to the other side, all the while holding your favorite ball, not to mention you by pass those stinking pillows!

Lock Up Your Daughters!

Who is the cutest baby on the block? One guess ... girls want me, boys want to be me!

Aussie Baby

My Friend Linda just got back from Australia! She brought me a great bib with kangaroos on it and a Koala Bear puppet for my very own!
My favorite part was the cardboard from the bib package, but I know as time goes on I will treasure my Aussie gifts! Thanks, Linda!

Pillow Pals

Mama and Daddy got new pillows, but they made great toys for me!
Beacuse of the plastic wrapping they slide really easy and I can drive them all over the livingroom. They disappeared yesterday, but I bet I know what I am getting for Christmas!

Cool Stuff!

I like bathtime - the trouble is the tub is too small - you can't climb around without tipping it over. Mama got me this cool new tub and Daddy helped blow it up.
It has Winnie the Pooh on one end and I can wiggle all over with my Ducky and Mr. Fishy.

Daddy's Home!

My Daddy took the Judging Team to Ohio for a big Horsey thing. I missed him very much, but he is finally home! He took me down to ride on my horses.

Then he, Oscar and I played ball in the backyard. Ball with Oscar is one of my favorite things!
I even got to ride on Daddy's shoulders! I like it best when Daddy is home with me and Mama!

Big Boy Food

I love to eat! Especially now that I get Big Boy Food. I still don't have any teeth, so Mama has to chop it up real good, but it still has lots of flavor!
My favorite is weenies, but I like eggs, too.
Ms. Darcy feeds me frozen peas and carrots. The best part is the mess! Nolie and Oscar always help me clean it up!

My Stuff

Mama fixed me my own shelf for just my stuff. I have plastic rings, a paper bag and some other odds and ends, including my Smokey Bear and Jesus Loves Me Bear and my State Fair ribbons. It is just right for me.
I can't wait until I can get to what is on that other shelf up there!

Toe Sucker

When life fails to keep you entertained you have to find ways to entertain yourself. I love to hear about the little piggies - you know, "this little piggy went to market...", but the real joy in life is "tasting" the piggies. I guess I will be a pork eater!

The Coffee Table

I may not drink coffee, but I love the coffee table. It is like an obstacle course just for babies. The shelf on the bottom is wrought iron bars just far enough apart for hands and knees to go through – that is going forward – somehow they get closer together if you try to back up.
Mom did a little redecorating and now there are these pillows in front of the table – I don’t want to hurt her feelings, but those pillows really throw off the flow of the room!

Cowboy Symposium

On Friday Mama and I went to Ruidoso to meet Grandma and Grandpa for the Cowboy Symposium. We had lots of fun. Grandma and Grandpa had a cabin and me and Mama had a Denny-sized cabin out back to sleep in.
Uncle Rex and Aunt Lynette came, too.
We got to see lots of cowboy stuff – even listen to cowboy music! My favorite was the gospel music on Sunday morning – I knew almost all the songs! I wore my cowboy hat so I would fit in.
The highlight of the trip was getting to eat a weenie! I like weenies.
On Sunday I wore my overalls - best thing about overalls - they double as a chew toy!
I can’t wait to go again next year. Thank you, Grandma & Grandpa for a really fun time!

8 Months Old!

I turned 8 months old on Friday! I can’t believe time has gone by so quickly. 8 months is definitely the best so far. I can pull up on almost anything and I am figuring out how to take steps – I weigh 16lbs 9oz.
I think the dog food is making me grow big and strong. I even got to wear the pumpkin bib my Granny Sharon sent me! It matched my orange shirt perfectly!

Maze Madness

Last night we had church at the Maize Maze. They have a giant corn maze and tricycles and everything. I got to play on the tires with Daddy.
We walked through everything and I rode the red horsey.
Mom made me pose with the pumpkins for fall...
...and I was all the way up to the two on the scarecrow ruler!
When it was time to eat I got to have watermelon in the wagon and then eat crackers...and cheese!
Mr. Mike and Ms. Barb even brought Miles to meet me. He is their grandson and was born just two weeks after me - he already has two teeth!
The funest part of the night was just about dark. Mom put some bug spray on me, so she took off her rings and set them on the table by Dad - those rings are special and should be taken care of, so I grabbed them. Mom found the band right off, but everyone was looking for her engagement ring - we even had to get out flashlights and check all over. Mama patted me down twice, but I am tricky - it was the third time before Ms. Glennis found the ring in my overalls! A good time was had by all!

Ball with My Buddy

I love playing ball with Oscar - he runs and brings the ball back. I tried to show him that I could catch the ball in my mouth, too, but Dad wouldn't let me!

My Oscar

Oscar is one of my Best Friends - I love him and he loves me (most of the time). He always makes me laugh! I hate it when he is outside and I can't get to him. I think he misses me, too.
He is also good for riding while the horses are otherwise occupied!

Mama Spoils Me!

After Mom took away the dog bowl (see older posts below) - she gave me bowls of my very own, a round one and a square one. They are great - I can bang them together, carry them around and beat them like a drum! Thanks, Mama!
