Oh Happy Day!

I am finally feeling more like myself! Life is good again. When Grandma came during State Conference she taught me about Bubble Bath. Now I want Bubbles for every bath. Mama sometimes gives me bubbles – sometimes I try to do it myself. This is how I feel when there are no bubbles. You’ll notice in these photos that I am still wearing the monkey shirt that goes with my pajamas. I wore it all day. That is because even without all the words, I was able to use my stellar sense of body language and facial expressions to let Mama know I would be wearing the monkey shirt I had slept in and not the fresh striped shirt she had laid out. Mama tends to pick her battles so I got to wear the monkey shirt.

Denny Crab-Apple

So Mama thought I should post something so everyone would know I haven't fallen off the face of the earth. Mama also says that if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all, so I haven't posted in awhile because I AM CRABBY! I had a fever most of the weekend and I am getting new teeth, so believing that misery loves company, I have been making life difficult for everyone around me. Today should be better, but we will see. I don't have a photo to go with this post because Mama doesn't take pictures of a Crab-Apple!

Grandpa’s Garden

Since Grandpa knows I am a great gardener he lets me help with his garden when we come to visit. This time I even got to pick stuff. I ate lots of cantaloupe, and then we picked a big watermelon. I thumped it to be sure it was ripe and then we picked it – it was so big, it had to ride back to the house in my stroller! We cut it open and boy was it good! I even ate it right out of the watermelon itself. Gardening is really fun, but eating is funner!

Happy Birthday/Anniversary Grandma/Grandpa

Friday was Grandma and Grandpa’s Anniversary, then Saturday was Grandma’s Birthday. Uncle Shawn came to help celebrate and there was even ice cream cake and presents. Ma & Pa came, too. Grandpa did the cooking and it was yummy good. After dinner I helped Ma and Uncle Shawn do the dishes and get everything cleaned up. It was a great party! I gave Grandma a new bag with our picture on it that she can pack her stuff in it to come to my house.

Stout Family Reunion

Ma’s mama was a Stout before she married my great-grandpa. Her sister – Aunt Mary turned 93 this year and in celebration of her birthday all the Stouts had a reunion. Since we were in Carlsbad, me and Mama went with Ma and Grandma. It was really fun! There was a swimming pool and new cousins to play with and everything! I liked getting in and out of the pool. We had yummy tacos for lunch and spent lots of time visiting!

Fair Season

Well, it is that time again! Daddy judged the Horse Show at the Eddy County Fair, so we went and visited Grandma and Grandpa, then toured the fair. I kind of liked the pigs, but the petting zoo was the best. Then on Monday me and Mama went to the Lea County Fair to judge 4-H Exhibits. I am a really good judge – I am also handy at getting in and out of the display cases. The baking case was my favorite. Ms. Shannon said I could stay and be on display, but in the end I decided to go home with Mom. I know there are more fairs in my future.
