All About the Malt

Daddy thought he would share his strawberry malt with me – but he was in for a surprise! I liked it! I could suck it through the straw and everything. He almost didn’t get it back! Maybe next time he will just get me one of my own!

Pool Boy

On Sunday Mama took me out to play in my swimming pool. We finally had a warm day where the wind wasn’t blowing. I wore my swim trunks and took my bucket with me. There is a slant outside the front door, so I had a deep end to play in. I liked doing belly flops and climbing in and out. Here are my footprints on the front porch!

More Helpin’

Everyone who knows me knows I am a good helper. You also know I like the dishwasher. Finally two of my loves have come together. I help Mama empty the dishwasher. I pull out the silverware and put it into the silverware drawer. This saves Mama lots of steps. Of course, if she doesn’t watch me, I pull out the dirty silverware, too – I figure it is a woman thing, being so hung up on details. When we are done I close it up for next time!

My New Pony

We had a Sunday morning surprise! Dolly had her foal – when we got up at 6:30 there he was! He is a colt with 4 white stockings. I make him a little nervous, but I sure like him and I know we will become the best of friends. When he gets bigger he will go to live with Grandpa, so I can still visit.

Party at My Crib

On Saturday we had Daddy’s judging team and Horseman’s Club officers to our house for dinner and games. I entertained them with my death defying feats on the slide then we chowed down good Mexican Food. After dinner we played Horseopoly and I had great fun watching – the judging team got their new jackets and the best thing was they came in a box! This box is just right for tipping and a great place to hang out with my milk.

In the Doghouse

I discovered a new place to play outside! I can go in and out, bang around and everything! Just look how cute I am in Oscar’s Doghouse!

Baby in a Box

I love all my toys, but boxes are the best! Daddy and I created a new game that involves tipping the box back and forth. It is lots of fun! I am working to be able to tip it myself – for now I will just have to let Daddy help me!

Blog-smog

I thought you would like to see what I do while Mama is working on my Blog. I enjoy sharing my life with all the friends and family who love me, but honestly I enjoy grabbing the mouse and whatever else I can find on the desk and throwing Kleenexs around – if you pull out enough Kleenex you can actually rip the box in half and pull out the whole wad – this expedites the process considerably.

Super Baby

Grandma found these fun Superman pajamas. When I was feeling better Mama let me wear them. I practiced rescuing Teddy and tried to rescue Nolie and Oscar, but they didn’t want my help. I am ready to fly! I even have my own cape!

Easter with Grandma & Grandpa

Grandma and Grandpa came this weekend to have Easter with me. I had to color my own eggs of course, since I wouldn’t allow that rabbit in the house. Me & Grandma made lots of cool ones with stickers and everything – Mama helped a little. Then Grandma and Grandpa gave me a neat bucket with more eggs and other fun stuff. I liked taking the money out of my eggs and putting it into my piggy bank. I can do it all by myself! Me and Grandma went on an Egg Hunt and I found them all and put them in my bucket. I also got a card from Nana and Papa with 10 whole dollars in it! On Sunday we went to Sunrise service – I had to get all dressed up really early! You can see the sun coming up behind me and Grandpa. After that we had a pancake breakfast and I took a nap while Mama played with the kids and made crafts. I was pretty tired because I had been sick. We went to the big Easter service, but just as it was starting I threw up all over Daddy and we had to leave. This is what I looked like resting in the recliner when we got home. I got to hang out the rest of the day in my pajamas. Mama hid some eggs for me, but Nolie and Oscar stole them – Oscar even ate the one he got! I am feeling much better now, but it took a couple of days. It was still a pretty fun Easter.

Ode to the Easter Bunny

So, Mama and me went to the Mall to 1. Eat Chic-filet and 2.See the Easter Bunny. Both were firsts for me. Here is the deal – LOVE Chick-filet, HATE the Easter Bunny! Therefore there are pictures of me at Chick-filet, no pictures of the Easter Bunny. He had big feet and big ears – he even wore glasses, but he didn’t look friendly to me! The little girl in front of us screamed when he held her – I am pretty sure he bit her, so I knew not to get close! He tried to sucker me in – play peek-a-boo and tap me with his big ole foot, but I wasn’t buyin’ it. Mama said it would be like petting Nolie, but it wasn’t. We walked around the Mall and went back again – I guess he thought I would forget, but I didn’t! I wouldn’t take his candy or his Easter book and if I catch that guy sneaking around my house in the dark I am going to shoot that rabbit! The highlight was definitely Chick-filet. They have soft chicken nuggets and the biggest French fries I have ever seen! All the people were really nice, too. The only thing that would have made it better is if they served rabbit.

Early Easter

Today we had Easter at Ms. Darcy’s house. Mama came and taught up us how to Bunny Hop – I like the Hop, Hop, Hop part best. We also made Easter Lilies out of our hands. Holly hid mine in my shirt and I had to spin around trying to find it! We also made bouncing bunnies – Mama helped me color mine and we named him Lucky – I took a small bite out of his shoulder and bit his ear off – so Mama says he is lucky to be alive! I think I will just call him Spot! Holly, Weston and I modeled our new t-shirts – they say “Holly’s Playhouse” on the front and have our picture on the back with our names! Really cool. This afternoon we hunted eggs and played more games. I got my new shirt all nasty! It was a really fun day!

Sheepherder

Mama and Daddy let me visit the lambs by their offices. I really liked them. When they would get excited they would run everywhere! Daddy put me in the feed trough, so they all wanted to check me out and see if I was food. I petted them nicely and didn’t even pull their ears.

More Career Options

Daddy let me play with his caution cones from the horse judging contest. They are great – you can stack them then spread them out again and Mama says you can ride a tractor through them – but I am not convinced. Daddy says I could work for the road department when I get bigger and have cones to play with all the time.

Ode to a Popsicle

I had my first popsicle! Mama let me hold it and bite it all by myself. It was grape, so it made beautiful purple spit. I didn’t finish it, but I did a pretty good job. I am going to try a red one next!

The Stunt Baby Lives On

I have learned a new stunt for my stunt baby repartee. If I pull up just right, Daddy will turn me upside down. I love it – it is a whole new perspective on the world! Mama likes me this way because she can finally see my top teeth!

My Favorite Toys

My favorite toys are not the ones that come from big toy stores – they don’t have fancy buttons or flashing lights (although I like those, too). My very favorites are the free ones that magically appear. When Mama does the shopping, she brings home all these Wonderful plastic bags, they rattle when you shake them and if you hold them in your mouth and spin around really fast they fill up with air and puff out. Daddy likes to order stuff online. When they deliver it, there are usually some of my favorite things – for instance boxes. This week I discovered a new favorite – bubble wrap! You can dance on it and make cool noises when the bubbles pop – and for added safety – you can wrap the baby in it! Mama and Daddy always watch me carefully when I play with plastic – but, hey it is all in good fun and it makes for cheap entertainment!
