Mama works really hard and takes such good care of me - I do my best to help her out - for instance, I know it saves time for me to help feed myself!

The Grass is Always Greener...
Well the grass is always greener on the outside of the playpen - and the air tastes better too. Sometimes I like to try to taste the air on the outside - ah, the sweet taste of freedom. Mommy doesn't know it, but I am really trying to eat my way out.
Sitting Man!
Yesterday I managed to set up all by myself! No one was more surprised than me - I was really trying to crawl and ended up with my legs going the other way - I will keep you posted on the crawling.

Fairs, Fairs, Fairs
Yesterday I went with Mom to the Hidalgo County Fair. We helped enter quilts and afgahans and other stuff, then we had to judge it and display it pretty. They loaned us a box for me to wait in - but I only waited in it some - I even managed a little nap with all the excitement. Mama let me watch my DVD - which was really fun because people kept commenting on that baby with a laptop to play with. I visited with my new friends Hitch and Jake throughout the day and of course everyone wanted to hold me! The coolest thing - and I mean cool in every since of the word - was that I had my very first snowcone! Mama likes blue, so we got a blue one - and you just think blue crayon is hard to get off your face until you try blue snowcone!
The one issue I have with the whole fair thing is that they put my box next to a baking case, and then they filled it with cakes and stuff - who put cake under glass where you can't even stick your fingers in it!

More Modelling!
Today Mama and I met Ms. Tammy for my 6 month photos!!
It was pretty fun - I have been preoccupied by contemplating a tooth lately, so this was a nice distraction. Mom took pictures of me having pictures taken so you can see how much fun we have. There are a few "sneak peaks" posted on Ms. Tammy's photography blog - you can get there from the McVaugh Family link on the right of my page - on the right of the Family page just click on Cute as a Bug Creative Photography Blog.

Lots to Laugh About
I have a lot to laugh about these days! Lots of people love me and take good care of me. I weigh 13 lbs 8 oz and have stretched out to 25 1/4 inches! I get to eat solid food three times a day and have lots of bottles in between. Dr. Mitchell has helped me spit up less and poop more - yep, life is pretty good!
Ready, Set ...
...Ok not quite go! I am almost crawling - I can creep pretty good, especially backward and in circles. I figured out how to get my knees up, but so far they are tied together and when I try to go they move at the same time causing me to loose my balance.
Before long I will learn to put one in front of the other and then watch out!
Grandma & Grandpa Again
Grandma & Grandpa came to see me this weekend. We got to hang out while Mom went to judge Fair Queens and Dad took care of the horses. Grandma gave me a bath, rocked me and read me lots of books -
Grandpa helped, too!
Mountain Retreat
Usually I go to Ms. Darcey's and I have Weston, Holly, Ben and Avery to play with - so when it was time to go on our retreat, Mom brought Linda, Frank, Rick and Amy so I wouldn't get lonely. We got to go to the mountains and I saw my very first deer.
It would get cool, so I got to wear my overalls with my jean jacket and even my hat.
Nanny Rick taught me to do the "Dead Dog" and I taught him how to fly. Everyone helped out and took care of me so that Mom could work - I am gratefull they let me come along!
More Fairs
I got to go with Mama to another fair! We went to Otero County (Mama used to work there) to judge the 4-H Exhibits. I got to play with Ms. Bennie while everyone else worked. I hope that next time we go I can meet Ms. Bennie's Grandbabies!

6 Months Old!
I was 6 months old yesterday! I went to church with mom (dad was off judging a horse show) and I got to put a dollar in the birthday jar.
Then we went to WalMart and I got my very own yellow ducky and two new Soothie Pacifiers just right for chewing.
I also got this box that mom assured me in the store I would love, but now that we got it home I am not so sure.
Today I went to the doctor for my check up - I weigh 13 lbs 6 ozs - they gave me some more shots and I didn't like it very much, but this week I get to hang out with mom on her work retreat. I am working on getting some teeth - that is not as great as everyone said it would be either - just exactly where are the popsicles?
Helping With Laundry
I have shared before about all the laundry I need done - but at least I am getting big enough to help! Laundry is pretty serious business!
Model in Training
My Mom just takes pictures to take pictures - my uncle has often said I am going to be flash blind. Sometimes I am not even being cute and she gets the camera out anyway. She'll learn - while she was messing around taking these photos I was filling my britches!!

Children's Church
Tonight I got to help Mama teach Children's Church. We made these great Eqyptian Collars like Joseph would have worn when he was Governor of Eqypt - they are to remind us to listen to God and be forgiving like Joseph was - mine was even Denny-size!And it was mighty tasty - my Mom is usually a smart lady, and with all her degrees you would think she would know that baby drool + crayon = rainbow face. Just a tip - the blue is the hardest to get off!

I Still Love Sundays!
Today after church I got to hang out on Mom & Dad's bed and watch my DVD. Life is soooo good!
My 1st Fair!
Last week I got to go to my very first fair - it was the Eddy County Fair - that is the Fair where my mom used to show. We watched my Daddy judge the Horse and toured all the exhibits. Grandma & Grandpa even came along!
Happy Birthday, Grandma
Grandma's birthday was on Friday - I got to go with mom and dad to see her. I got her a grandmother music box that plays "What a Friend We Have in Jesus".
Happy Anniversary, Grandma & Grandpa
We went to Carlsbad for Grandma and Grandpa's Anniversary. We went to dinner with everyone and I got to sit in the high chair like a big boy! That round head at the end of the table is me! Uncle Shawn came, too. I gave Grandma & Grandpa a picture of me on the front of TV Guide - I am the newest star!
