Tuckered Out

Last night as Mama was feeding me my eyes began to get heavy. The more I ate, the fuller my tummy got and the more comfy I began to feel. Finally, I gave in and had a nice little nap.
I shifted around a little.
But overall I had a nice rest and allowed Mama to get some work done!

I Can Say Mama!

Today was a banner day! Mama was gone most of the week and just came home last week – I really missed her, even though Daddy takes good care of me and lets me ride in the wheel barrow. This morning I had my Mama back and I was so glad – I called her by name! I said “Mama” when I wanted her to pick me up – more than once! Now that she is home, I probably won’t need to say it so much, or I might just call everyone Mama – but it is a start!

Red Raider Fan!

Caleb’s Texas Tech pjs finally fit!
I believe I look quite dashing ....
and I find the red and black quite comfy!

Still Climbing

Mama was setting out more of my Christmas goodies and what a surprise –
I like the box best! Mama stuffed it with pillows so that it wouldn’t squish when I climbed on it.
I spent a lazy afternoon just going back and forth.

My New Cousin!

Etienne James Vaillancourt was born on January 17, 2009! I am very excited to have a new cousin and I want to go and see him, but Mama has had a cold and says we have to wait. I hope he can come to my birthday party!

Growing Like a Weed

Everyone says I am growing like a weed - Mama says I am a weed because I am into everything that I am not suppose to be! I am climbing whenever possible - today I climbed in and out of the laundry basket all by myself! When Mama took me off the bed I put my book up to the chest and tried to billed my own step - too bad I didn't have a thicker book.
The best thing I have figured out is the bathtub - Mama pulls the plug and if I am not ready to get out I stand up, get the plug and put it back in the drain! I think I should decide when I get out of the tub! I am even getting a new tooth - and its a top one! It broke through yesterday and I am very excited to be able to masticate more effiecently. You can see it was a bad hair day, but a good tooth day, so I guess it all works out!

Stampin' It

Last night Mama and Daddy took me to our church to hear the Stamps Quartet - they are a gospel quartet that travels all over performing.
I loved it! I danced and clapped in Mama's lap. It was so exciting. I enjoyed it so much I wore myself out. I did wake up long enough to visit with everyone before we headed home.

11 months old!

My, how time flies! I turned 11 months old on Satuday! I can't believe it! In just one month I will be 1 year old! I am still into speed crawling and I can stand on my own. I really don't feel like walking yet - really, what is the point, crawling is less work and in the end someone carries you anyway.

Roundup – More 4-Hin’

The real reason we went to Denver was for Western National Roundup. Mama did Home Ec stuff and Daddy did horse stuff. I played with everybody! The Collegiates all kept me entertained, or I kept them entertained, either way. The official Roundup photographer used me for checking lighting and practice shots, so there will be more photos to come. I even taught Connie how to drive a box – although she may have already known a little from her niece and nephew!
It was a great trip and I appreciate everyone putting up with me – I can’t wait to see everyone again!

World Traveler – The Food

One perk to traveling is trying new food. Mama, Daddy, Shannon and me went to Texas de Brazil – it is a Brazilian Steakhouse with sooo many kinds of meat I am not sure what all of them even are! And I don’t really care – they have two kinds of potatoes and fried bananas – it was so good we went back again with Connie! My belly was so full - it is a good thing my overall allow room to grow!
We also tried a new BBQ placed where the Mac & Cheese is the cheesiest! Shannon shared her lime with me... ...and I kept at it until I sucked all the juice out!

World Traveler – The Hotel

The cool thing about big conferences is nice hotels. I loved playing the pillows and the big fluffy blanket. I had to sleep in the hotel proved port-a-crib, but it had some give and if you bounced in the right spot it was really fun.
The carpet is all designer which means crazy patterns and wild colors – it kept me entertained for hours! There was even a bathtub and with my special bath toys I felt right at home!

World Traveler – The Plane

I got to go to Denver with Mama and Daddy. I thought we might see cousin Draken, but it turns out all Mama and Daddy do in Denver is work! We took and airplane, my first time – and it was great. I could actually see out the window and everything.
Since our flights weren’t full I got to have my own seat to relax in. I read a little and slept some. The flight attendants all loved me and even brought me my own special pretzels when everyone else got peanuts.
We had to stay on the same plane, but some people had to get off, so every time we went up and then down, there would be a parade. I got to wave at everyone and they waved at me! Then me & Daddy stretched our legs!

Techno Baby

I am definitely good with technology - I have a real interest. Grandpa taught me all about the phone. When it rings, if it is for me I just need someone to help hold it to my ear. Mama got a little tired of me trying to play with her phone and gave me one of my own so I can press all the buttons I want.
I also got to play withe keyboard from our old computer, I am pretty sure I launch a rocket into orbit around Mars just by pushing a few buttons.
As you can see, I also have an interest in digital cameras.

Who Me?

Don’t I look innocent? I am working to perfect this look.
Whenever Mama says “Denny Lynn” I give her this look to say “What?…Who Me?… I would never do anything I am not suppose to do…especially steal the dog food.”

Happy Birthday, Mama

Everyone is having birthdays! Today was Mama's. She is old - you can tell by all the candles, but don't worry, I helped her blow them out!
Me & Daddy got her some garnet earrings - they match the bracelet Daddy got for their Anniversary. She wore them to church this morning. Just wanted to wish Mama a Happy Birthday and say Happy New Year to all of you!
