Outdoor Fun

I really wanted to tryout my new shoes. Daddy needed to trim Dolly’s feet, so me and Mama went out too. Mama tried to trick me by putting my hat on backwards so I couldn’t grab it and throw it off. We checked out the tack room and I looked over the bucket real good, but I couldn’t find anything to put in it. I love the wheelbarrow, so we took it out for a spin around the pasture,I have to sit flat when we are moving, but when the wheelbarrow is still all bets are off. It will turn over if you don’t sit in the right spot. Mama tried to get some nice photos of me in the hay. A couple aren’t too bad. She wanted me to smile and say cheese, I would say cheese, but instead of smiling I just made the monkey face!! Before we went back in out of the wind, I helped Daddy finish up by brushing Dolly. It was a fun Sunday afternoon.

Shoe Shopping

Ok, so I have fat feet. Not necessarily big feet, just fat, so none of my shoes fit. Mama and Daddy took me to buy some fat feet shoes so I can walk around outside and not get stickers. I tried them on and walked around the store to be sure they fit, then I checked them out in the mirror to make sure they look just right. Shoe shopping was actually kind of fun!

Sunday School Fun

I always go and help Mama with Sunday School. We teach the crafts. This week I got to wear the new suit Grandma & Grandpa gave me for my birthday! It won’t fit much longer, but I sure look handsome!
We made crosses with our handprints this week to remember Jesus died for us and to serve others with our own hands. I gave mine to Ms. Doris mine because she has been feeling poorly and is having surgery on Tuesday and I want her to feel better soon!

My Peeps

Mama and Daddy met us on Friday to take me home. I miss Grandma and Grandpa, but it was nice to be home. I was pretty tired from all the traveling and playing. Daddy fed me a Marshmallow Peep to keep my energy up! Yes – that is a cut under my eye. I fell into Grandma’s antique desk. It is healing nicely!

Spring Break

Mama and Daddy are working through Spring Break, but not me! Yesterday Mama packed me up and I am headed for Grandma’s house. Me and Teddy are excited to meet Grandpa’s new puppy and get spoiled for a couple of days!

My First Haircut

Daddy gave me my very first haircut Tuesday night! He used scissors and clippers and cut off all my curls! I happen to know Mama saved some of them – she put one in her locket and one in my Winnie the Pooh. I am pretty sure they are hoping to clone me! I have to say, Dad did a good job!

Ride 'Em Cowboy

I am finally big enough to be a lone rider! I can giddy-up my horse with the best of them - I will even wear my hat like a real cowboy! When it is time to bail off - I bail off - horse and all if Daddy doesn't catch me! Here you can see me giddyup - you know it is a good ride when your hat comes off!

It's All About the Green!

Mama came to Ms. Darcy’s today for a fun St Patrick’s Day Party! We played games like Memory, Find the Leprechaun and Go for the Green. My favorite game was Toss the Gold – the kids had to toss their coins into the pot. I added a new level of challenge – I liked shaking the pot and making it hard for them to hit. We made handprint rainbows and Ms. Darcy had cupcake treats for us. Life was grand until Mama decided to hold Avery – what have I been saying, she is MY Mama. Anyway – I shared, but she had to hold us both. In the end I am the one she brought home!

St Patty's Day Fun

Mama was so proud this morning - she dressed me up in my green 4-H t-shirt, all shiny and new for St Patrick's Day. Now I explained before that there are no special clothes - I am helping Mama understand this. Ms. Darcy took some photos so Mama could see how I treat my clothes. Now my skin I take care of - as you can tell by the mud mask.
I had to have a bath in the sink (Holly helped me and Ms Darcy) in order to be fit just to be around people! Holly says I smell all nice and clean now.It was a great morning!! Can't wait for more St. Patty's Day fun!

The Big Boy Toothbrush

I have graduated up to a real life (mini-sized) toothbrush!
It has Elmo on it and everything. I still like the little rubber teeth & gum cleaner Mama puts on her finger, but Mama says I am too big for it - she only started saying that after I "bit the fire out of her" when she was brushing my teeth. I can bite Elmo and he doesn't seem to care.
I want to take care of these teeth so more will come!

If You Build It, They Will Come

Here's me and Daddy building lots of cool stuff.
The building isn't quite as fun as the tearing down, but I have learned you have to build it first in order to be able to knock it down!

Work Hard, Play Hard, Nap Hard

If you play hard enough, eventually you just give out.

No scheduled nap time needed - I am happiest surrounded by my favorite toys and books - that way when I wake up I can go right back to playing!

What dress clothes?

I don't get this whole thing about "dress" clothes and "play" clothes. All clothes should be "play" clothes! Mama gets me all dressed up for church, but that doesn't keep me from riding my tractor or playing in the ball pit.
My personal feeling is that Mama needs a little girl to dress up and she can leave me alone!

A Step Ahead!

I am a walker! I have been walking for weeks when Mama was out of the room, but now the truth is out. I can walk pretty much anywhere. I like to walk holding Mama’s hand, but I can go on my own, too. Here is a video of me – you can see how much I love walking! It is a little fuzzy, because I am so fast and Mama couldn’t back up enough! Tilt your head to the right - Mama couldn't turn the video upright.

Stunt Baby

My Uncle Shawn was jumping tricycles off the slide at an early age. I guess I am carrying on the family tradition! Tonight I took my tractor up the slide. Daddy decided he better help me so we practiced some then made the leap - I loved it!

Me & Teddy

Today me and Teddy got to play. I took him around the house with me to see all my toys. I know Mama Bears carry the babies in their mouths – if it is good enough for Mama Bear it is good enough for me. The trick is where to get a hold? I find the nose works best and leaves your hands free for speed crawling. Me and Teddy also like the slide – Teddy gets to go first, but he likes to catch me.

Too Smart

Who needs a jungle gym when you have ingenuity? I figured out that if I park my train in front of the loveseat I can climb right up. I can sit and relax or roll around. My Mama didn’t raise no dummies! I can put all the pillows in the floor for a soft place to land when it is time to get down.

Spa Boy

Ms Darcy had a spa party and since Daddy had a meeting, I got to go with Mama. I was the only boy, but that is ok, because I had Holly to play with. We got our own “feet soaking” tubs, but I figure if it makes your feet feel better it must be good for the rest of you! Ms Darcy gave me a little swimmer so I could sit in the water and not fill my diaper. I had lots of fun climbing from one tub to the other. I even moved some water one handful at a time. I hope we have another spa party soon!
