Bye-Bye Bottles!

It is official – it has been one week since I have had a bottle! It is sippy cups all the way – with whole milk thank you very much! Growing up is fun!

My Nolie

Nolie has always been Mama’s dog and she wasn’t too sure about me when I came home. Truth is, sometimes she still isn’t too sure about me. She likes to give me kisses – mostly when I have banana on my face! I just want to love her and hope she will love me!

More Birthday Photos

Grandma sent me some more photos so Mama and I decided to share! You can see that everyone wanted to love on me for my party! Here is my cake and my new swing set with a ball pit. and my new leggo wagon The games were really fun – here we are playing pin the tail on the donkey! This is what I looked like after the party – kickin back in my new Pooh Papason Chair - it was a long but fun day!

Denny’s Doggie Salon

Dogs get dirty (not as dirty as baby’s, but I do bathe daily). Mama needed to give Nolie and Oscar a bath and since I LOVE baths, I knew I would be a good helper. I liked it when they would shake water everywhere – it was funny. The funniest part was when Mama was trying to get Oscar in the tub and he knocked her glasses off and she said a bad word. I laughed – then I made a mental note to repeat that word as soon as my verbal skills are up to par.
I also thought Oscar would like the bath better if he had some toys, and I tried to share mine, but I guess he was in trouble, because Mama took the toys away as fast as I could throw them in! In the end, my puppies were clean and Mama cleaned the tub and put me right in for my turn.

More Happy Birthday to Me?

I had a great Cowboy Birthday Party! Mama decorated everything to match – even me! Friends and family came to see me and play! My favorite part was when they all sang “Happy Birthday” to me and then Mama & Daddy helped me blow out my candle.
I had my own little cake and it was banana nut!
We played games – Ten Gallon Hat Toss, Sharp Shooter, Pin the Tail on the Donkey, Horseshoes and a Horse Roundup – everyone got prizes and goodies, but most of all me! Everyone brought great presents and I have been playing non-stop!
I finally got to meet my new cousin, Etienne and when they put us with Ma & Pa for pictures I took the opportunity to love him with hugs and kisses! We used Ms. Tammy’s pictures for decorations and party favors – they were a big hit. I appreciate everyone taking time to come to my party and for the great presents! I even got gifts from people who weren’t able to come. The only thing that would make it better is if my Oklahoma family could have come, too – maybe sometime I can have a birthday in Oklahoma!

Such a helper

I wanted to help Mama get ready for my big party, so I took a turn pushing the vacuum. It rolls good and I can walk right along with it. I can only vacuum the hard floor (I can’t make it roll on the carpet) and if you plug it in I run the other way screaming, but every little bit helps!
I also helped Ma and Pa pick up pecans off our trees.
I was good at this – I could put pecans in and out of the bucket with the best of them! Ma & Pa also brought me a great frog for my birthday – he is a great pillow, mattress and friend!

Happy Valentine’s Day

On Friday Mama came to Ms. Darcy’s and we had a Valentine’s Day Party! There were games and special treats for everyone.
We hopped with heart pillows between our knees, had a heart hunt for candy hearts and stacked candy heart towers. There were Valentine crafts, too and everyone made a special heart.

Then we played kiss the pig! Everyone put on lipstick and then had to kiss the pig (which Mama made on poster board) with their eyes closed and see who was closest! I kissed him right on the nose!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Finally, after all these Birthdays it is my turn! I am one year old today. Birthdays are the coolest.
First, Mama came to Ms Darcy's ans we decorated cookies. Mine had green frosting as you can see! We wore party hats and they sang Happy Birthday to me. The cookies were boots and horses in honor of this little cowboy. Me and Mama decorated two for Daddy. When we got home, Mama had a surprise for me...my own swing set with a slide and ball pit. I helped Mama try to put it together -
there are lots of parts and even though I am a good helper, Mama says I may not get to swing until I am two - at least it came with a big box. I did get to try out the slide and climb on the platform. I know Grandpa is coming and so I bet I have a swing set by my party on Saturday. I opened two presents from Grandma & Grandpa...
and got the great Alphabet Train from Nana & Papa. Not to mention savings bonds from Aunt Judy and Uncle Jeff!I even told Papa and Grandma "Hi" when they called to wish me Happy Birthday. I also got my own text messgae from my girlfriend, Shannon - pretty cool! I know the best is yet to come, but it has been a pretty great year! Thanks for all the Birthday wishes!

I Should Be a Model!

All the photographers love me! I mentioned that the photographer at Roundup liked to use me to check his lighting - well he sent Mama so new photos and I look great! I think he did well capturing the many faces of Denny!

I also had my 1 year photos with Ms. Tammy last week and as usual, she made me look like I was in a magazine. She even helped cover up the scratches I got jumping on the tricycle.I turn one tomorrow and it is very exciting! I got to put money in the birthday jar yesterday at church and tomorrow we are having birthday fun at Ms. Darcy's. Hope you enjoy the new photos!

Looking Ahead

Today is a red letter day! Mama turned my car seat around! At first I was apprehensive - as it was new.But then I realized, I could see Mama, look out the window and even have my sippy cup in the cup holder! I had my mini-pancakes on the way to Darcy’s and it was very exciting! Turning one is going to be so cool!

Exercising with Daddy

Me and Daddy have started exercising to stay healthy and fit. I like it when he rides the bike, although there is nowhere for me to sit. We do sit-ups together
... and use the stretcher to build our muscles! I will be Baby Universe before you know it!

Hangin’ at Church

I usually help Mama do the crafts at Sunday School – I am a good helper, but lately there have been some Leggos in there and I find that a distraction.
Anyway – this week there were no other kids, so Mama and I got to go in the kid room with all the toys! I love it – I find something new every time, like this little cash register, no cash - but lots of buttons!

Hangin' with Grandma

Mama & Daddy decided to work last week, so Grandma came to stay with me. We had lots of fun - I even got new clothes! We took wagon rides...

and lots of baths!
We went to lunch with Uncle Rex and Aunt Lynette on Friday and then to dinner with Mama that night. Grandma went home on Saturday and I miss her already!
