Sunday School Lessons

I learn lots in Sunday School - I went to help Mama teach crafts. We made sailor hats out of Newspaper after learning about Noah and the Ark. Newspaper hats are pretty tasty!

Bubbles, Bubbles!

I can blow bubbles - well, I can put my lips together and blow, making a zurburt sound and on a good day there is a bubble. The best thing about it is if you time it right, just as the carrots go in, you can make little orange speckles on Mama's glasses. And even though Daddy tells me to quit, he is laughing the whole time!

BBQ Baby!

After the Zoo we met some friends at Rudy's. I got to sit in the highchair like a big boy! Instead of BBQ they fed me carrots, but I guess I will forgive them this time. I bang my rings on the table and yelled "Bar B Que" just like my Grandpa taught me.

A Day at the Zoo!

Mama and Daddy took me to the El Paso Zoo on Saturday. We saw lots of cool stuff. I missed the elephants - but come on - they put moving water around the outside of their home. How can you focus on an elephant when there is water reflecting light and shadow. I did get my picture made with the elephant statue and that was good enough for me.
I liked the sea lions and the spider monkey - what I learned is that the zoo is serious business! The only things I didn't like were this big goat (he smelled funny and even though he liked me, he made me cry)...

... and the tiger statue - I posed with Mama, but I didn't like him at all. Overall, Nolie and Oscar are still the coolest animals and I would rather ride a horse than an elephant!

Hat Man

I learned from my Daddy that if you wear a hat, no one makes fun of your bald head! The really exciting thing is that my hats are starting to fit! My KState Hat is just right!

Trick Rider

I can help Daddy herd the horses - I am a great herdsman! I am also a trick rider - just wait until Daddy lets go!!

Up and At 'Em!

I can pull up - I like to pull up on things, but my crib is just right! When I wake up I can reach up and make it easier for Mama to get me out - and when I am ready to get out, I am ready!

They Call Me Tater Tot!

Daddy shared his tater tots with me the other night and I LIKE THEM! I only get little tiny bites - they say it is because I don't have any teeth, but I think Daddy is just stingy!

Busy Feet

I like to crawl, but while we were at the fair, mom got me a new walker - I can push it with my feet. For the first couple of days I could only go backward, but now I can go forward too! I can't turn around yet, but if you holler, someone will come turn you around. The bumpers bounce right off the walls too!

Honorary Prince

Everyone would come to see me at the fair - but my newest friends are the Queens - they are each Queen of their own county and they were staying in Youth Hall and competing to be the new State Fair Queen. They all loved me - and I loved them - they dress all sparkly.

My Brother is a Monkey?

Ms. Lilly brought me a great monkey - I named him Monkey. He is just my size and though mom denies it, I am sure he is my brother.

We played and wrestled at the fair and he let me chew his ears and tail just like Nolie and Oscar do to each other! I am glad Lilly didn't get the pink one - I don't know if I would like a sister as much.

Corn Box

Mom took me over to the Ag Building to play in the giant corn box - instead of sand the whole thing was full of corn and I didn't even try to eat it!
Mom did have to shake out my hands and clothes really well when we got out - but I snuck some corn back anyway!

The Host with the Most!

Ms. Lilly is the hostess for the 4-H Exhibits and she loves me! I got to hang out and be her co-host while mom was working. She taught me to play patty cake and brought me balloons almost everyday!

What a Set Up!

I spent the last 10 days with mom at State Fair! We had a great set up - she took my round pen and some extra carpet.
I had my very own home set up behind the Youth Hall counter. I got to watch my DVD whenever I wanted.
I went for rides in the stroller all over the fairgrounds (sometimes I would drift off and nap in the stroller, but I am sure I didn't miss anything important!) We even took my portable highchair along for meal times. It was almost like vacation!

Mr. Independent!

Tonight I am waiting up for Daddy - he went to State Fair for the 4-H Horse Show. Since Mom was getting ready for more Fairing too - I just decided to read to myself!

Kind of New Toys

Tonight I found Mama's snowglobes. They are so cool - they are glittery and stuff floats in them - they make me laugh!
There were some big shiny ones but they disappeared - that is ok - I like the plastic ones just as much. They still snow!

Just an Old Sock

Mama treats me like an old sock! Just throws me in with the sheets - at least they were clean sheets!
Her one request was that I not spit on them - but she didn't mention chewing - slobber is different than spit!

7 Months Old!

I turned 7 months old yesterday. I weigh 15 lbs 3 oz and I can almost keep up with the big kids at Ms. Darcy's. I grow everyday!

My Round Pen

I have my very own round pen just like the horses. It has a gate and everything. All my toys fit in it and I can still crawl around.
I don't know why the horses run in circles when they get put in the pen - if you holler long enough and loud enough someone will let you out.

All Wrapped Up

I love all the wonderful blankets people have made for me, but my favorite one to sleep with is the white one I got from Ma - it has big holes I can stick my fingers through and really hold on! It also works as a jacket if you get the arms just right!!

New Friends

I got to go with Mom to the big State Fair. It was lots of work, but I got to make lots of new friends! Grandma came to help take care of me while Mama was working and we even got to see Uncle Shawn!
I met Sam - her grandfather is the agent in Lincoln County - she is really pretty and just two weeks older than me!
Tanner came to play with me too!

A New Challenge

Now that I can crawl - I would like to learn to stand up. My bouncy chair is just the right size to start pulling up on. The first couple of times I tried, Mom thought I wanted in the chair (she doesn't get it)! Finally, she let me do my own thing. I still need a little practice, but it is coming along!

Pillows Smillows

People are always saying that you should put pillows around a baby so they don't fall off the bed - whatever! Pillows are great for climbing on - the real challenge is when Mom stacks them two high, but I am up to it!

I Can Crawl!!

Yep, I am officially a crawler! I finally got the knack - I am not fast yet, but I am giving Mama and Daddy time to adjust before I take off. Nolie and Oscar keep moving just out of reach - Mama thinks they are avoiding me, but I know they are just helping me workout to get faster. I discovered the hard floor, too - I rediscovered it with my head this morning, but I will get the hang of things!

What A Day!

Saturday was a really big day! First, Uncle Shawn stopped by to see me - he had been fishing in Mexico and brought us some fish (they didn't swim or anyting and I was a little disappointed they wouldn't flop around). That is ok, because Uncle Shawn played with me on the floor.

Later, we went out to the horse show at the Fairgrounds and I got to go out to lunch with Mama and Daddy. It was a pretty exciting day!!
